Wind Orchestra -
 Concerto Concert I

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Wind Orchestra

There is a wealth of concertos written for the
less familiar surrounds of a Wind Orchestra,
minus their string brethren. This evening’s
concert offers the chance to hear some of
this neglected repertoire, with concertos
for wind, brass, and percussion, as well as
a work showcasing the entire ensemble, in
the Concerto for Wind Orchestra by Amando
Blanquer Ponsod

Nigel Boddice and John Logan - Conductors

Stevenson Hall - Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - 07.30 pm.
£10.50 / £7.50

Garry Walker  - Conductor

Britten - Sinfonia da Requiem
Holst - The Planets

The dynamic young Scottish conductor
Garry Walker leaps onto our podium again
in a programme that has a little bit of
something for everyone. We continue to
mark the anniversary of Benjamin Britten
with his response to the looming world war.
The programme concludes with one of the
great works of British composition, Holst’s
The Planets.
Part of the Britten, Verdi, and Wagner
celebrations.

Stevenson Hall - Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - 07.30 pm.
£13.50 / £11
